About Luke Jackman

Luke Jackman is registered with GOsC, the Governing body for Osteopaths.

Osteopaths are primary healthcare professionals regulated by law.

UK standards of osteopathy are set, maintained, and developed by the General Osteopathic Council – the profession’s statutory regulator (copyright of Gosc).

Luke graduated with a 1st class Honours degree from the European School of Osteopathy (E.S.O) in 2004.

On graduating, Luke received the award for 'Clinician of the Year'.
Since 2004 Luke has worked at a busy multi-disciplinary practice in Ipswich and also in East Bergholt where he has practiced alongside other Osteopaths, Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, a Musculo-skeletal specialist, Spinal consultants and G.Ps. This experience has helped Luke to develop a more all- round method of treating and rehabilitating patients and the ability to know when a patient should be referred on for further investigation.

Since 2006 Luke has been qualified in Acupuncture/Dry needling.

Luke has always enjoyed sports, in particular, running, cycling and swimming. Luke enjoys competing in Triathlons and is looking to push his endurance further with some longer events. Luke finds that this sporting background is beneficial when forming a treatment/rehabilitation plan for patients wishing to get back to their sport as soon as possible.

“I fully understand what it is like to not be able to train and compete due to an injury (yes, even osteopaths get injured).
Therefore, treatment and advice is aimed at speeding up your recovery so that you can return to the sport that you enjoy as soon as possible”.

Luke enjoys treating patients of all ages and tailors his treatments accordingly based not only on the condition being treated but with the patient’s age in mind. Luke has always enjoyed treating patients with symptoms associated with arthritis as it can often lead to significant improvements in the quality of life experienced by having less pain and stiffness.

“Too often I see people who have accepted aches, pains and stiffness as just signs of getting older. Although some stiffness and discomfort may be inevitable to a degree, very often through treatment, patients can experience great relief, despite the underlying wear and tear still being present”.

An initial appointment with Luke costs £60 and a follow up appointment costs £48
